David Friedberg, CEO
Prior to founding WeatherBill in 2006, David was with Google, where he joined as one of the founding members of the company's Corporate Development team. David managed a number of strategic projects for Google, including identifying and leading several of Google's largest acquisitions. David also served as a Business Product Manager for AdWords - Google's primary revenue source. Before Google, David spent several years working in private equity and investment banking. He has invested in and advised dozens of companies in the technology industry. Earlier, David worked at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he led several projects as a mathematical programmer. He has a degree in Astrophysics from UC Berkeley.
Siraj Khaliq, CTO
Siraj founded WeatherBill in 2006, having previously worked at Google in multiple technical lead roles, from the company's distributed computing infrastructure to the high-profile Google Book Search project and other offline content search initiatives. Siraj obtained an MS degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a BA (Hons.) in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, England. While at Stanford, he was also a lead software architect for the popular Folding@Home distributed computing project.
Kevin Vosen, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel
Before joining WeatherBill, Kevin was counsel at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where he focused on corporate and securities transactions for emerging and mature technology companies, venture funds and investment banks. Prior to that, Kevin was the General Counsel of Broadlane, Inc. an Inc. 500 healthcare services and technology company. Kevin has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Duke University.
David Page, Vice President of Sales
David was formerly at QAS where, as VP Sales, he helped start and grow the enterprise software company's North American operations from scratch in 2001. David led five sales teams in four cities across America that served more than 1,000 corporate customers. Prior to his ten years in senior sales and management roles at QAS, he sold equity and bond trading software in London. David holds a degree in Economics, Politics and Philosophy from Oxford University.
Jeff Palmer, Vice President of Engineering
Jeff is a leading Internet industry executive with more than a decade of experience developing and deploying successful technology products. Before joining WeatherBill, Palmer was Vice President of Engineering at Orbitz where he managed multiple teams. Jeff led the planning, design and development of the company's international white label travel platform. Prior to Orbitz, Jeff was CTO and founder of Curious Networks in Chicago.
Gregory Smirin, Vice President of Marketing and Product
Greg leads WeatherBill's marketing and product teams, focusing on product strategy, and enterprise and consumer programs. Previously, Greg was a member of eHarmony's executive team, where he expanded the company's US and international lines of business. Greg's experience includes tenure at VeriSign, running two of the company's most profitable lines of business – Web Trust Services and the PKI Affiliate program – and serving as VP of the company's European mass-market organization. Greg was also the founding VP Marketing & Product at Proofpoint, a messaging security firm, and at QuinStreet, a leading online marketing firm. Very early in his career, Greg developed a state-of-the-art computing learning environment and wrote the first Internet case study at Harvard Business School. He has a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College.
