What does the Financial Report Analysis Tool tell me?
The Financial Report Analysis Tool analyzes historical weather at a weather station close to your business. The tool correlates your daily revenue with historical temperature and precipitation data and presents an analysis of the effect the weather may have on your business. To use the tool, all you need to do is provide us with a file containing dated daily revenue figures and your ZIP code (Currently only US zip codes are supported for the lookup).

I tried to upload my report to the Financial Report Analysis Tool and got an error. What's going on?
Your file may have been incompatible with our tool. Make sure your file meets the formatting requirements provided here.

What is the Q&A tool and what does it tell me?
The Q&A tool is for people who already have an idea of how their business is affected by weather, but aren't sure exactly how much or how often. First, you'll tell us how much revenue (on average) your business makes per year, how your revenue changes with the months or seasons, and how much of your revenue is generated on weekdays / weekends. You'll also be asked to provide some estimates about how your revenue is affected by various temperature and precipitation levels.

The tool will analyze which weather conditions most impact your business. You will also be presented with a fifteen year simulated revenue chart.

What do the monthly revenue sliders in the Q&A tool mean?
The monthly revenue sliders give us an idea of the seasonal changes to your business. The height of each slider shows that month's revenue relative to other months. So if you normally sell twice as much in July as you do in January, you should move the July slider to be twice as high as the January slider. The numbers above the sliders are only there to help you compare. If your business isn't seasonal at all (your revenue is the same every month) just leave the sliders as they are.

What do the weekday/weekend sliders in the Q&A tool mean?
The weekday/weekend sliders give us an idea of how much revenue you earn during the week relative to how much you earn on weekends. The number above each slider shows the percentage of your revenue that comes during each period. So if you normally do 75% of your business Monday through Friday, move the blue slider up to 75%. The sliders will automatically adjust to add up to 100%.

What do the revenue percentage change sliders in the Q&A tool mean?
0% = revenue unchanged. +100% = revenue roughly doubles for that situation. -100% = no revenue generated for that situation.
