Named Perils: All Crops

Fall Freeze Protection

Freezing fall temperatures can devastate immature crops, preventing them from reaching their full yield potential. Reduce losses from cold weather damage with Fall Freeze Protection.

Fall Freeze

An early freeze can cause damage if it hits before crops reach maturity. If crops are delayed in their growth cycles, even freezes that occur later in the season can cause significant yield loss. An early hard freeze also may bring increased drying costs which are not covered by Federal Crop Insurance.

Fall Freeze Protection is named peril insurance that allows you to protect your top-end profits from freeze-related losses. You specify the dates of risk and the temperature below which your crop will be damaged. You choose how many acres you want to insure and how much you want to get paid per acre.

There is no claims process required for Fall Freeze Protection. The Climate Corporation will send you a check automatically if freeze comes early, compensating you within 10 business days.
